Meet Chef Antonio Ayestarán
Antonio Ayestaran has been a professional chef for over 20 years. He is an A.C.F. (American Culinary Federation) apprentice graduate, a certified Chef de Cuisine and certified Pastry Chef.
Antonio, along with six other chefs, represented the state of California at the largest cooking competition in the world; the Culinary Olympics in Germany, in 1996, 2000 and 2004. Antonio received Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for his efforts.
Antonio has been cooking and managing food service operations since he was 18. He opened and managed Holiday Front Street Bakery and consulted in the opening of Rivers Restaurant in Redding, CA. Most recently Antonio was the executive chef at Alta Sierra Country Club in Grass Valley, CA for seven years where he fell in love with the idea of customizing events and menus for his customers, and this inspired him to open Antonio Ayestaran Custom Catering.
Antonio's Paella is a Crowd Pleaser
Antonio prides his business on working closely with his customers, creating custom experiences for each event. He works closely with many of the largest organizations in Nevada County cooking for fundraisers, donating meals and time, giving back to the community whenever possible.
Happily married for over 15 years and the proud father of two boys, Antonio understands the importance of family. This mentality helps Antonio to relate to his customer's needs.
